Startup Certificate

Startup India initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

The Startup India Certificate (also called DPIIT Recognition) is an official recognition granted by the Government of India to eligible startups. It provides tax exemptions, easier compliance, funding access, and credibility with investors.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be incorporated as a Private Limited Company, LLP, or Partnership Firm
• Be less than 10 years old from the date of incorporation.
• Have an annual turnover of less than ₹100 crore in any financial year.
• Be working towards innovation, development, or improvement of products/services/processes.
• Not be formed by splitting or reconstructing an existing business.
